Undies Are In and I’m Here For It

Spring Summer 2023 runways were anything but understated, with one trend that was blaring: sheer ensembles that showed off all the unmentionables. 

This trend’s first impression is runway-exclusive: warranting the ‘no way this will ever leave the runway!’ reaction. But ever since the iconic tights-only look from Prada’s SS23 show made its debut, the trend has popped up with fashion girls in cities all over. 

Modest takes on the trend have been circulating for a while: shiny sheer fabrics (a-la Marylin Monroe), underwear-as-outerwear looks (flashback to 2002), and of course the classic corset top.
